One of the four referendum questions on November's ballot (Question 4) would guarantee up to 40 hours of sick time a year to visit a doctor or care for a sick family member. Employees who work at companies with at least 11 employees would be paid for that time off. Proponents say nearly a million Bay State workers are at risk of losing their jobs because they don't have paid sick time. But opponents say passage of the question will cause the loss of jobs and amounts to government meddling in the operations of small businesses. What do you think? Should every worker in Massachusetts, no matter how many are employed by a company, be guaranteed sick time?
