Dairy Queen will open in this plaza on Grafton Street.

Dairy Queen will open by early next year on Grafton Street in Worcester, making it the chain's first location in the city.
The Grill & Chill location, which will serve a full food menu and ice cream, is being built at 725 Grafton St., in a plaza that also includes a Family Dollar and Advance Auto Parts.
Southwest Properties announced the planned opening on Wednesday and said the Dairy Queen should open by February at the latest.
The restaurant will feature a drive-through and more than 70 seats.
Dairy Queen has signed a long-term lease with a franchisee, Thebe Enterprises of Northborough, according to Southwest Properties, which owns the retail plaza.
Dairy Queen also has locations in West Boylston, Spencer, Westborough, Marlborough, Milford and Clinton, among other nearby Central Massachusetts locations.
