Northborough commercial building sells for over $2M

445 Whitney St. in Northborough

A commercial building in Northborough at the Berlin line near the Solomon Pond Mall has sold for $2.15 million.

The 2-acre property at 455 Whitney St. is listed as the home to Goldie Group, a cellular technology manufacturer. The site, with a 22,000-square-foot building, previously last sold for $950,000 in 2011, according to town records.

In a sale that closed July 31, N&B Realty, which is licensed a Bruce Goldie in Framingham, sold the site to Hosokawa Alpine American, an entity registered to a David Nunes of Natick.

The site sits at the very edge of town in a stretch of Whitney Street surrounded by other commercial and industrial uses, including the pharmaceutical company Genzyme. Just across the line in Berlin is the under-construction Riverbridge project, which will include a 105-room Homewood Suites hotel and 205 residential units.
